Inertial Sensing Systems for Advanced Chronic Condition Monitoring and Risk Prevention

The Dutch Zorgvisie magazine publishes an article about the AAL program and the IS-ACTIVE project

The September 2010 issue fo the Dutch Zorgvisie magazine publishes an article about the Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) program and the IS-ACTIVE project. The article explains how COPD patients can benefit from the system developed within the IS-ACTIVE project to improve their physical condition. The IS-ACTIVE system can be used by patients at home. It is composed of wireless inertial sensors that recognize the activities of people and give motivating feedback according to their condition.
